The Chaos Legion struck without warning, and without mercy. Sweeping out of the Darklands, they destroyed all in their path as they made their way Westward. Empires fell, helpless against their mindless destruction. All hope seemed lost as they encircled Oskvind, the last bastion of resistance. But at the eleventh hour, the priests of Oskvind made a discovery that gave mankind one final hope. Ancient megaliths from a civilization lost to history, held a sacred power that could stop the Chaos Legion in their path. By capturing and purifying the megaliths, the people of Oskvind could push the forces of evil back across the continent, until they were once again confined to the Darklands. However, time is of the essence. The Chaos Legion’s presence has already started to corrupt the megaliths, and soon they will lose their power.
With no time to prepare, you have been given command of the forces of Oskvind, on the desperate campaign to banish the Chaos Legion and save mankind. Using a combination of military tactics and the powers of the priesthood, you will have to fight your way across 20 missions, against ever increasing odds. Defend the Kingdom features capture-point based gameplay, combining elements of real time strategy, tactics and tower defence. You will have to carefully spend the power generated by the megaliths you capture on recruitment and upkeep of your forces, deploying defensive structures, and unleashing the powerful magical attacks of your priests. Facing overwhelming numbers, and with the clock against you, it will take a combination of tactical thinking, creativity, caution, and boldness to come out victorious.
Defend the Kingdom is currently under development, and will be released in Q2, 2024.
